Jordan Barsky is a writer born, raised, and based out of New York City. He has written two episodes of Law & Order: SVU (“Caretaker” “Exchange”). He won the KCACTF Region II short play competition with his play Paul’s Anonymous. His play A Blue Brown Forest was chosen for a workshop reading on the main stage at Dixon Place. His play TIM KAINE SITS IN FRONT OF A MIRROR AND STUDIES HIS FACE was produced at the Brick Theater’s This is Not Normal Festival. This play was published in THE BEST TEN MINUTE PLAYS OF 2018. Jordan has his plays produced at the Players Theatre, Manhattan Repertory Theatre and participated in The 24 Hour Plays, Nationals playwriting workshop in New York City. Jordan worked at L&O SVU (2017), as an intern/general assistant in the writer’s room, Sam French (2009-2010), as a script reader and New Dramatists (2015), as a stage manager, managing readings for Lucas Hnath, Deb Margolin, Andy Bragen, Matthew Freeman, and Olivia Dufault. Jordan was assistant director on Mathew Freeman’s play That Which Isn’t which ran at The Brick theater. Jordan has a BFA and MFA in dramatic writing from NYU and the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama.
